Prof. Pullar has studied Chemistry and carried out his PhD in Materials Engineering (on hexaferrite fibres) in the UK, before working as a Research Fellow/Associate at London South Bank Universiy and Imperial College London. After a Marie Curie Fellowship in Greece on magnetic nanoparticles, he worked at Aveiro University in Portugal for 11 years, becomming a Principal Investigator, before becomming a full Professor at Ca’ Foscari Universiry of Venice, Italy, in 2020.
Prof. Pullar has published 186 ISI papers. 101 of these papers are published in JCR SCI journals in the top quartile in their areas (Q1), 63 are in the top 10%, and 38 are in journals in the top 3 of their areas. He has published five book chapters, and has also co-authored seven further book chapters, for RSC, Springer, Wiley, Nova, Transtech and Materials Research Forum LLC. He has a large number of citations (>8100) and an h index of 46 (Scopus). In 2012 he published a major review on hexaferrites in Progress in Materials Science (vol 57, p.1191-1334), with an impact factor of 37.4. It has already been cited more than 1800 times, and is now the most cited hexaferrites publication of the last 50 years. He has presented at over 85 conferences on five continents (>85 oral, >30 invited, several times as a Key-Note Speaker), and has given 37 invited lectures in the UK, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Sweden, Turkey, Morocco, USA, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, Dubai and India.
SSZ Ashraf is a Senior Associate Professor at the Physics Department, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. His area of research falls in the broad domain of theoretical condensed matter physics in which it concerns with mainly many-body aspects and transport properties of low dimensional systems, with the present interest focused on graphene and its bilayer. He has published over 50 research papers besides many popular scientific articles, run a couple of projects, and delivered several invited talks and popular lectures.
Prof. Prafulla K. Jha is presently professor of condensed matter physics at the Department of Physics, M.S. University of Baroda, Vadodara, India. He has also served MK Bhavnagar University, Bhavnagar, India as full professor for about six years. He received his master’s degree from the University of Pune, Pune under joint TIFR-UGC-Pune university program and Ph.D. from BU, Bhopal. He has received several recognition/awards such as post-doctoral fellowship by the ministry of education and culture, Govt. of Spain. Prof. Jha is an Indian national Science Academy (INSA) teacher awardee for the year 2018. He received prestigious TWAS-UNESCO associateship twice, regular associateship of International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) Trieste, Italy, UGC Research Award. He is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He has also been awarded SMC silver medal 2022.
His research deals with the complexity issues and key global challenges using the wide range of disciplines such as from core metals to environmental hazardous gases for the prosperity of globe. Mainly, his research work focuses from theory (fundamentals of physics) to applications in the field of drug designing to cure cancer, bio-conjugation for the delivery of neurotransmitters, oxide supported heterogeneous catalyst for the application in fuel cell, semiconductor nanowires, superconducting, geological (with extreme environment), thermoelectric materials for energy conversion, perovskite for solar cell efficiency and nuclear materials has a direct impact to tackle developing world’s greatest challenges.
He has published more than 300 research papers in the refereed reputed journals and served/serving as member of the editorial board for several journals. Twenty-Five students have been awarded doctoral degree under his guidance and eight are working for the degree. Prof. Jha has completed twenty research projects including five international from major funding agencies. His h index is 40 with citation about 6600. Dr. Rayaprol earned his doctoral degree from Saurashtra University, Rajkot in the year 2003 and has more than 12 years of experience as Scientist and 04 years as Post-Doctoral fellow. He was having Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship during the year 2005-06, N. S. Satyamurthy Memorial Award in Physics for Young Scientist in the year 2010 and won Young Achiever’s Award for the year 2011 by Department of Atomic Energy- SSPS. He has published more than 300 research papers in the referred reputed journals and served as member of the editorial board for several journals.
She obtained a few regional, and national awards for contribution toward scientific research. She worked at National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, India for two months as a Summer Visiting Teacher Fellow in 2005 and as a Visiting Scientist fellow in 2011. She possesses 34 years of teaching experience at UG and PG level, and 36 years research experience of She is a member of Board of studies at few universities of Gujarat. Prof. Martin Desimone was born in Buenos Aires-Argentina. He graduated from Pharmacy, Biochemistry and received his PhD degree from the University of Buenos Aires. After a postdoctoral period in the University of the Basque Country, Spain, he joined the Laboratoire Chimie de la Matiére Condensée de Paris. Currently, he is a CONICET researcher and Full Professor in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry of the University Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was recipient of awards and distinctions including the participation in the 2016 Emerging Investigator themed issue of the Journal of Materials Chemistry B, the Award Innovar in the category applied research received in two consecutive years (2016 and 2017) from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation (MINCYT), the distinction “Dr. José A. Balseiro” XV edition, received in The Argentine Senate, which is the upper house of the Argentine National Congress and four times the “Academic Excellence” from Universidad de Buenos Aires. He has guided 10 Ph. D and 3 International Master students. At present five research students are working under his direction for Ph. D. He edited one book and authored 130 publications, 20 book chapters and 4 patents.

Dr. Anurag Shrivastav have joined IIITM as Assistant Professor in October 2006 and became Associate Professor (Direct Selection) in June 2010, having multidimensional experience in both the research and development activities, particularly in the research areas of Bulk and Nano Material Modeling and in software product development as IT applications for various services. He has published more than 162 research papers at international and national level Earlier to IIITM, he worked as a faculty of Computer Science & Information Technology (CSIT) department of G. G. University (a central university), Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. At CSIT, he has established various laboratories and also worked in various academic cum administrative capacities. During his stay at G. G. Dr. Hasitha Mahabaduge is associated with Georgia College & State University as an Associate Professor since 2016. He is an Associate Professor of Physics and his specialisation is Condensed Matter Physics and photovoltaics. He has completed his doctoral studies in the year 2013 from The University of Toledo, Toledo (USA). During 2020-21 he was Mary J. Cinardo Endowed Chair at Department of Chemistry, Physics and Astronomy, Georgia College. He is also reviewer of the reputed journals Energy technology, Computational Condensed Matter Physics, Journal of Applied Physics etc. In the year 2019, he won Georgia College Excellence in Teaching Award. His research interest belongs to Photovoltaic device fabrication and characterization and Interactions between ferroelectric and ferromagnetic thin film layers. He has published more than 40 research articles and guided 10 PhD research students for their doctoral studies.
Dr. Sivayini Kandeepan is a Senior Lecturer in Physics at University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Graduated from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka with Physics, she completed her Master’s degree in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at the Postgraduate Institute of Science, University of Peradeniya in 2013. She has obtained her PhD degree from the Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Western Ontario in Canada in the year 2020. Her research area is experimental Physics and synthesis of nanomaterials.
Dr. Mauricio César De Marzi is a biochemist, and a Doctor in Immunology from the University of Buenos Aires. He is a researcher at the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) of the Argentine Republic and Associate Professor of the Department of Basic Sciences of the National University of Luján. He is in charge of the undergraduate subject Immunology and participates in the teaching of numerous postgraduate courses, among which the joint direction with Dr. Martín Desimone of the course “Principles of nanobiotechnology” of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Buenos Aires and is Director of the postgraduate course “Topics in Immunology” of the Department of Basic Sciences, National University of Luján. In the last 5 years he has received 3 awards for scientific work, presented 29 works at scientific and technological events, and has been co-author of 3 book chapters and 17 articles published in specialized journals. His lines of research are related to the study of the effects of nanoparticles on the immune system, their use for the development of nanoimmunomodulators, the epidemiological study and biomarkers related to celiac disease, and the use of plant and fungal extracts for the treatment of chronic diseases. In this context he has supervised several undergraduate and postgraduate theses and research grants. He is a member of the Argentine Society of Immunology (SAI). He has been a juror in numerous teaching competitions, of works presented at scientific conferences, undergraduate and postgraduate theses, reviewer of works in numerous scientific journals and is editor of Frontiers in Immunology. Dr Pragnesh N Dave has been working as Professor, Department of Chemistry, Sardar Patel University, VallbhVidynagar since 2017. Before that he had served as Professor & Head, Department of Chemistry, K S K V Kachchh University, Bhuj, India for nearly seven years. Dr. Pravin Kumar completed his M.Sc with first rank from Ch. Charan Singh University (CCSU), Meerut, UP in 1997 and joined the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in 1998 for MTech programme (in instrumentation design and development). In 2000, he was selected as a scientist at Inter University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi. He played a major role in setting up Electron Cyclotron Resonance ion source (ECRIS) based low energy ion beam facility (LEIBF) at IUAC and developed several special beams using 10 GHz all-permanent-magnet ECRIS. He studied the charge state distribution of metallic ECR plasmas systematically and applied the ion beams in fabricating buried metallic nanoparticles, for which he had been awarded Ph.D degree in Physics (2007). His research work mainly includes the production of magnetized plasma, the ion extraction from plasma sources and transportation, the plasma-surface interaction, the formation of surface nanostructures; dilute magnetic semiconductors (DMS); semiconductors on insulators (SOI) using ion beams. He has published ~ 92 research articles in referred journals, ~ 55 conference contributions and dozens of technical notes. He has attended several national and international conferences, and delivered large number of invited talks at various universities/scientific institutes.
He is a recipient of Better Opportunity for Young Scientist in Chosen Area of Science and Technology (BOYSCAST) fellowship 2009-2010 sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology (DST). Under this fellowship program, he worked at University de Provence, Marseille France for one year and investigated the issues in developing a cesium free negative hydrogen ion source for International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), which is the world’s biggest scientific project at present. Further, he was one of the key persons for setting up world’s first high temperature superconducting ECR ion source facility for high current injector project at IUAC. He has membership of several academic bodies such as national academy of science, India (NASI), Indian Society of Particle Accelerator (ISPA), Ion Beam Society of India (IBSI) and Plasma Science Society of India (PSSI).
At present, he is associated with LEIBF at IUAC, New Delhi as its in-charge to promote research with ion beams. Since 2000, the LEIBF is being used extensively by a very large number of researchers from various universities/colleges/institutes/IITs for their proposed experiments (mainly in materials science) using ion beams at IUAC. Many collaborative research programs have been initiated through regular workshops at IUAC to encourage young researchers. Also, a large number of students and young scientists have been trained in the field of accelerator technology to meet the challenges in future.
